Privacy Policy

The developer does not collect your audio or track you. Prism Noise has no developer-run account, analytics, advertising, or backend server. Core sound creation works on your device. Optional iCloud sync, SharePlay, purchases, and sharing use the services described below.

What the app stores, and where

• Your sound settings and presets — noise layers, drones, melody, Relief notch, Studio patterns and voice settings, and saved mixes — are stored on your device.
• Your recordings and imported audio live in the app's Loop Library on your device. They are visible to you in the Files app and are yours to export, share, or delete.
• Genesis learning (the taste the agent builds from your judgments) is computed and stored entirely on your device. There is no account and no learning server. Resetting it deletes it.

Microphone

iOS asks permission before microphone use. The app uses the microphone when you record a loop, record a Studio voice layer, or turn on the Studio microphone for live monitoring and sound processing. You can stop recording and turn the Studio microphone off in the app, or revoke permission in iOS Settings. Audio is not sent to the developer. Saved audio may sync through your iCloud account, and Studio voice layers are shared with participants when you choose to join a SharePlay jam, as described below.

iCloud

If your device is signed into iCloud with iCloud Drive available, your Loop Library recordings and saved presets sync between your devices through your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud infrastructure. That data moves between your devices and Apple — never through us, and we cannot see it. Turning iCloud off keeps the app fully working, locally. You can remove the app's iCloud data at any time in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.

Music library and imported files

When you choose Music on a deck, iOS requests access to your media library. The system picker lets you select an item; the app uses its title, artist, and accessible audio to import it into your Loop Library. Protected or unavailable tracks cannot be imported. Files imports read only the audio you select. The developer does not receive your library, track information, or audio. You can revoke media-library access in iOS Settings.

SharePlay jams

When you start or join a Studio jam through FaceTime and SharePlay, Apple’s GroupActivities service sends Studio pattern and voice settings, playback timing, and recorded voice-layer audio to the other participants. Layer attachments include a session participant identifier and revision information so the app can coordinate the shared session; people joining later can receive those attachments too. This is optional and requires a network connection. It does not pass through a developer-run server.

Leaving the jam stops your participation. Participants may keep or record content they receive; leaving or removing a shared layer cannot retract a copy another participant has already saved. Only join with people you intend to share with, and obtain permission before recording other people. Apple’s services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Local recordings, presets, and settings remain until you delete or reset them. Deleting the app removes its local data, but does not remove exported copies, copies other participants keep, or data in iCloud. Manage iCloud data separately in iOS Settings and delete exports from their destination. Reset Genesis learning in the app to remove its local taste memory.

Purchases

The Genesis unlock is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Refunds and billing are handled by Apple under their terms.

The diagnostic report

The in-app Support Center can assemble a diagnostic report to help troubleshoot a problem. It contains app and iOS version numbers, settings states, and counts — deliberately never recording names, preset names, or audio. It is shown to you first, and it leaves your device only if you choose to copy or share it yourself.

This website

This site serves static pages with no analytics, no cookies, and no third-party scripts or fonts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to operate the service, as virtually all web hosts do; we do not use them to identify you.

Children

Prism Noise is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy will be updated here first, with the date above, before that version ships.
